I was recently made aware of how far the whole topic of sovereignty has travelled. Down a long dark spiral. Common sense NZ, reunite as one people before it’s too late.
I recently started a new website Blog, which I ramble on about events that stand out. Mainly world events. I don’t try hard to have it advertised as my previous website had a large following , I closed it because of hackers, advertising pharmaceutical products. My new site has a bit from the old, but the theme will be twofold. A science fiction book I am writing when time permits. Also Trends and current events.
I felt I had to respond in some form to this whole Māori sovereignty…., which gets louder every day. Separate this and separate that. Māori re writing history in a language written for them by missionaries.
A language evolving rapidly to gain more traction and meaning. But essentially built on Legend, Verbal dialogue and myth. Great for a cultural identity and good for tourism, not so hot on fact.
Māori Health, Three waters, Ownership of the waters around and in New Zealand and now attempting to steal a 700-million-dollar dam in the north island from NZ taxpayers. Enough is enough. Co governance. Karakia and more. IP, when their entire written culture and modern symbols was a gift from well-meaning settlers. Who so successfully integrated entire communities all around NZ where the culture of North and south are well blended. I remember a song from the 70’s about a world that’s a bigger place with coffee-coloured peoples by the score, where we all live as one etc.
They seem hellbent on enacting a new apartheid in favour of the Māori. Indigenous peoples were the final straw. We are all Immigrants to NZ. The Māori By the DNA record originated somewhere around Taiwan. But interestingly it’s only the female DNA. The male DNA record points to New Guinea. Lots of speculation could be derived from that snippet. I discovered last week. The adventurous Polynesian seafarers could have stumbled by accident onto New Guinea. The males destroyed, the females captured, eventually carrying on the voyage to eventually discover NZ. But with New Guinea males and Polynesian females. Bit of artistic theory. I may make a story out of this one day. Ramblings of an old man.
I don’t believe in hate speech or incitement. I do believe in free speech which is not one sided or bent to someone’s will.
I believe we should be one people, all equal. end of story, so I responded. Common sense NZ, reunite as one people before it’s too late.
